Square Dance Baby Quilt

Finally got the sample ready for the Square Dance quilt. This is a really fun quilt to put together and goes quickly. It is made with 8 fat quarters of fabric.

The above top is the original pattern. It doesn't have borders making it a very quick and easy quilt. This finishes to about 36" x 45". However, I had this wonderful focus fabric that I used to choose the colours and didn't use it in the actual quilt top. So, I added a narrow border in between to separate the 'wild' and added a 3 1/2" finished border around the whole thing.

Here is a close up of the border:

Psalms blocks progress

We've been working away at our Psalms blocks. Here are a few pictures to share. Hope to take pictures of Annette J's and Tina V's blocks altogether next time. Here are Joan's first four blocks:

The same blocks on point. Amazing how different they look:

Annette P's first five blocks on point:

Same blocks set straight:

Annette J's second block:

These blocks are all pieced by hand and several of the girls have never quilted before. They are learning a lot and their skills are improving by leaps and bounds each week :-).
